چکیده

Objective: The aim of our study was to describe the species distribution and changes in resistance profile anaerobic bacteria isolated at Tartu University Hospital. Methods: data for 2010, 2016 2020 were analysed retrospectively. strains identified by Vitek2 (2010) MALDI-TOF MS (2016, 2020); MIC values antibiotics determined using gradient tests. Resistance interpreted EUCAST breakpoints. Results: average number cultures received during 10 years increased from 1551 5983; (386%).. most common pathogens Gram negative rod-shaped (Bacteroides fragilis, Bacteroides spp., Fusobacterium spp. Prevotella spp.). percentage susceptible three studied stable majority drug-bug combinations tested, except beta-lactam antibiotic sensitivity imipenem ampicillin-sulbactam, penicillin). There significant differences (p < 0.05) when comparing with 2016. higher among Bacterioides Bacteriodes fragilis imipenem, ampicillin-sulbactam clindamycin than same observed vs 2010 metronidazole, penicillin cefoxitin. In contrast, surprisingly lower other Gram-negative rods. Conclusions: no shift spectrum microbial groups as causative agents clinical infections 2010-2020 period. However, due improvement identification methods, increased. pattern anaerobes stable, but may indicate a further steady increase resistance. surveillance is important predict efficiency empirical treatment.

Antibiotic Resistance Pattern of Gram-Negative Bacteria in Gorgan

Abstract Background and Objective: The excessive use of broad-spectrum antibiotics will lead to drug resistance of microorganism and specially nosocomial organisms. Because of high incidence of antibiotic resistance in hospitals, we aimed to study antibiotic resistance to gram negative bacteria. Material and Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted on the data of biological sampl...

Antibiotic susceptibility of the bacteria causing odontogenic infections.

AIMS An evaluation is made of bacterial species and susceptibility to various antibiotics used in application to odontogenic infections of periapical location and in pericoronitis of the lower third molar, with the aim of optimizing the antibiotherapy of such infections and thus preventing unnecessary side effects and over-treatment. MATERIAL AND METHODS Sixty-four patients with odontogenic i...

Prevalence of integron classes in Gram-negative clinical isolated bacteria in Iran: a systematic review and meta-analysis

Objective(s): Integrons, as a potential element in the distribution and maintenance of drug resistance, have thoroughly been established. It is known that the high prevalence of integrons in multidrug-resistant (MDR) clinical isolates has become a serious public health concern. The objective of the present study was to determine the frequency of different classes of integrons in clinical isolat...

Antibiotic Resistance Pattern of Bacteria Causing Urinary Tract Infections in Children of Fasa During the years 2012 and 2014

Background & Objectives: Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) is one of the most prevalent bacterial infection in children. Awareness of the antibiotic resistance of common bacteria causing UTI in each area has a large impact on infection improvement. The objective of this study is to evaluate the antibiotic resistance of bacteria causing UTI in two to 15 years old children referring to Fasa Vali-e-A...

Antibiotic resistance profile of clinical gram negative bacteria

A total of 100 gram negative bacteria, including Escherichia coli, Enterobactor spp., Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Klebsiella pneumoniae were collected from Dr. Essa laboratory and Dr. Ziauddin hospital in 2007, in Karachi, Pakistan. They were screened for their resistance against six antibiotics including amikacin, cefatoxime, cefoperazone/sulbactam, fosfomycin, piperacillin/tazobactam, and str...
